    Knit goals

My goal for 2010 is to get ten pairs of socks and ten sweaters knit for myself. And let's see if I can also get ten original designs written, tested, and up for download on Ravelry. Not quite one each month, because I know myself well enough to know that I will panic if I set the bar higher than I can reach.

I'd also like to get my WIPs and projects in time-out under control, get a few of those off my plate and reduce the list to 5 or fewer projects on my needles (down from the current official count of 14!).

For January, I'm doing pretty darn well. My February Lady Sweater was finished, the Baby Valentine sweater was posted for sale, and though I didn't finish any socks in January, I did finish 2 pair in the very last days of December (close enough, since the new year starts on December 26th). I also finished the Aestlight shawl.

Currently, I've got several projects partly-done that might make the finished-objects pile in the next few weeks:

...plus gift-projects and other WIPs that don't fall into the sweater-or-sock categories.

As for design work, currently I'm writing up expanded sizing for the Baby Valentine sweater (hopefully up-sized as high as 10 yrs old, but we'll see), and working up designs for projects knit from sock-yarn (since I LOVE sock yarn).
