Kittens!

Mom and I dragged K to the feed store, where we adopted not one but TWO new kittens to keep Elijah company, because he has been SO LONELY after Tiny's disappearance.

Meet Howard, weighing in at 1 lb 3.9 oz, born roughly October 1st:



And (possibly) Thaddeus, nearly a pound heavier at 2 lbs 2 oz, born roughly September 12th:



Howard fears nothing, not even the dog, and not even after his head was inside the dog's mouth. He miaus incessantly, demands attention, and is snuggly only when he is sleeping (and then he is very, very snuggly).

Thad is simultaneously brave and timid, very playful and pouncy, and also incredibly snuggly. He purrs like a motorboat and growls at the dog, but his miau is defective, because not a sound comes out when he opens his little mouth to cry out.

Howard and Elijah will be fast friends, mostly since Howard is friends with everyone. Thad is a bit more uncertain about other creatures, though he and Howard get along swimmingly.

I can't wait until they get to meet the bunnies!
