This weekend I'm hosting TWO Star-Wars parties, at least one of which also includes a costume contest. Because the people I hang out with are BIG NERDS of all varieties (not just the knitting variety).
My grocery store friend Sara might just make herself a Yoda costume if she has time (and I hope she does!), which reminded me that I had fully intended to knit myself a Princess Leia wig, but was disheartened by the LACK OF TIME remaining before this weekend.
And then I remembered that it only takes 4 hours to knit a beanie cap. So I did some searching for knitted Leia wig patterns.
I'm totally pissed off at this girl, because she apparently decided to charge for her Leia wig pattern after she started getting lots of hits to her site. And I'm all about making a buck off the interwebs, but this somehow seems unfair. It used to be free. But now it's not.
So I figured I'd make my own pattern for the Leia wig -- a BETTER pattern, that more accurately resembles a WIG than a beanie hat with cinnamon rolls stuck to the side.
If my experimental pattern works out, you can expect it to be posted here, FREE OF CHARGE, FOREVER, as soon as it's done.
