It is one of my greatest pet peeves. I even have framed in my office this picture from a Kate Spade advertisement of a few years back. I suspect it is trying to sell shoes, but I like to think that the dinosaur is yelling at her for wearing socks with her sandals. And her sandals are much, much cuter than mine.
When my friends never call me again, I will know it is because I wore socks with my sandals.

I promise to still love you and be your friend if you wear socks with your sandals. As I recall, I was with you when you bought your sandals, so I can't break up with you for that reason....
One of my friends wears her furry bed slippers out to the bar. Actually she wears them everywhere.
I imagine they're quite warm and comfortable.

When I was in college, wearing socks under your sandals was sorta ... cool. But I hung out with neo-hippies, so that might explain it. Now, I wear socks under my crocs, as if just wearing crocs wasn't bad enough.
