This afternoon I ushered for '
Pericles: Prince of Tyre,' a student production by the UCSD Theatre and Dance Department at the Weiss Studio. It is the best Shakespeare I have seen performed live in a long time, and is without a doubt the best student production I have ever seen. It plays through Feb 2nd and tickets are ONLY FIFTEEN DOLLARS. So you should get your ass over there to see it because it is AWESOME.
Walking from my car to the theater, I ran across many lovely, strange objects and scenes which I photographed. The collection starts
here (9 photos total), but these are a few of my favourites:

Oh...and the theater smelled oddly of sweat, chalk, mold, and perfume. It was that strange-but-lovely 'old building' smell.
I'm noting this now as it is pouring down rain, and I just went outside to rotate the plants (to prevent any of them from drowning). Hence I found myself soaked, and am now sensing a similar, mildewed odor of plantlife and wetness on myself.
My favorite is the top photo.
I think because I like the colour blue and I really like it when certain people notice the beauty of the mundane... which if that isn't already a title for a movie/novel... I claim it!
